As the brand-new National Representative/ President of the National Governing Body of Inner Wheel Clubs in Nigeria, I wish to thank you for entrusting me with the leadership of our great organisation.
I feel overwhelmed as I am not sure if the shoes of my predecessors are not too big for me. But with the support of all of you, we will surely strive to be the “Heartbeat of Humanity” and will “Reach & Inspire” to make our world a better place.
As we commence on the 1st IW year of a new century of service, we should set our minds to the goals of our theme “Heartbeat of Humanity – every beat counts, every action matters” as outlined by IIW President Mamta Gupta:
1. Membership Growth – EACH ONE BRING ONE
2. Cervical Cancer Prevention – SAFE FUTURE
3. Branding – EXTEND OUR REACH
4. E-Club – THE WAY FORWARD FOR INNER WHEEL
5. Nurturing Orphans – IMAGINE THE FUTURE
6. Elderly Care – OLD IS GOLD
7. Environment – SAVE EARTH
These goals are perfectly in line with our new 2024-27 social theme “Heartbeat of Humanity” which is asking us to embrace
• Community
• Relationships
• Health & Wellbeing
• Cultural
• Empowerment
• Environment
Kindly allow me to wish all members and officers of clubs, districts, national and international a successful year of service. Let every beat count and every action matter.
Yours In Service,
Karin Uwaje
